Jojo restaurant and bar?

We're going to jojo's this weekend for jazz - how's the food there? The chef graduated from Johnson and Wales so it can't go too wrong. Any experiences to share?

It's at about 15th and U street on U, it's in a downstairs spot.

What type of food is it? It's mostly a jazz bar? I'm always on the quest for a place with decent to good food and live music.

It's mainly a Jazz and R&B bar, though I'm not sure what the food is like. We tend to eat at Pilar and walk over from there- it's about a 5-10 min walk.

The food is OK....I used to go there a lot for drinks and to listen to their live jazz. I remember eating a good burger and some good wings while sitting at the bar. On another occasion, I had their salmon entree - I really don't remember much about it, but at least I don't remember it being bad!

Its not a destination for food, but I'd eat there again if I wanted to listen to some live music.

I've never eaten there, but just a warning- their drinks are WEAK. I do adore their music though.
