Late-night grub?

katecm Apr 25, 2007 09:18 AM

Anyone know of some good late-night food finds for out-of-town visitors whose plane lands at Reagan at 10? Not the Ben's or Kramerbooks variety. Anything a bit nicer? I know Circa, the new place in Dupont, serves food late, but don't know anyone who's been.

There's always Tune Inn on Capitol Hill...

In Georgetown Bistro Francais is open real late...I think the kitchen might be open until 1 or 2. I don't think there is anything I would want more then to grab some steak frites after a late night flight.

There is also always the Diner...open 24/7. It use to be my neighborhood hot spot and I love it. They also made some fun additions to the menu a couple months ago. Might want to be avoided on the weekends though...seeing that the Adams Morgan crowd is rather fratty.

Also Annie's Paramount Steak House in Dupont area is open 24 hours on the weekends I think. Maybe not the best food in the world but its good...and the drinks are strong :)

There are any number of upscale places in Crystal City, but I don't know whether their kitchen would still be open. I guess it depends on what day the flight comes in. But if they want something really chowish, and don't care about ambience, you should try Kabob Palace. Just across the bridge from Washington National, two blocks from Crystal City Metro, and open 24/7.

I recently went to Kabob Palace and the food was great. I wish we had something like it in DC proper.
