Mother's Day Brunch in Tampa/Pinellas County

Both my mother and mother-in-law have hinted about wanting to go to a brunch on M-Day. Does anybody have any reccomendations for one in Tampa or Pinellas County? I would prefer not to spend more than $50 pp.

Beautiful Sunday brunch. Must need Reservations.

I highly second this suggestion. The place is beautiful, with the dining room sitting high above the beach with great views. Live music (violins, quartets, etc.), very professional service; a desert room/table to die for and just excellent quality food. Champaigne gratis. It is far superior to Landry's and to Shephards, IMO. This is one of the best dining experiences you can have for an "occasion".

It's also $60 per person. But that does include champagne....

      2. How about Shephard's on Clearwater Beach...I'm surprised I've never seen it on this board.

Does Jackson's on Harbor Island still have brunch?

I went to Shephard's for Sunday brunch with some friends just last week, and it was AWFUL. Don't waste your time or money.

          2. Although I have never done this, I was just told about a brunch cruise. If the mothers don't get sea sick they may enjoy the location.

the location is great but the food is kind of yuk
we did one of their brunch cruises when the tall ships were in St Pete

            2. We will be at TC Choy's Asian Bistro . . . They really do have great Dim Sum.

be sure to try China Yuan when you're not trying to impress with decor. I find the food better at half the price. shrimp dumplings, roast pork are musts.

where is china yuan located, I would be interested in trying it. don't really care about the decor, but it needs to be clean.

They're on Armenia, just north of Waters...

And though the interior is a bit spartan, it's clean (especially after they remodeled the joint, a couple of years ago).

                    Here's their website:

I agree--I do love their Dim Sum.
