Storing cooked and uncooked quinoa?
Yesterday I found a recipe I want to try, but I haven't cooked with quinoa before and have some questions.
Uncooked - I assume storing in an airtight container is good, but is it okay to leave it in a cabinet or should it go in the fridge?
Cooked - how long does cooked quinoa last? I know you can eat it cold, but does it reheat well? Do you reheat it like you would rice? Can it be frozen?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I store the dry uncooked Quinoa in a cabinet in a ziploc bag (I buy it from a bulk bin at a co-op). As for reheating and storing it in the fridge, treat it like rice. I have never tried freezing it so I am unsure how that would be.
It should last 2-3 days in the fridge.
But yeah, treat it like rice, and you can try using different cooking liquids.

I just made my first Quinoa dish for a potluck at work, and it is delicious! It has black beans and corn and cumin and cyanne pepper. I'll get back to you with the recipe because it was good! I'm so happy to have something new to cook with!
