Fried Grits in Asheville

This is on my wish list - Fried Grits. Something my mother use to do with the old grits. One would think this would be better than polenta. The only place I've had anything remotely like this is at Early Girl - grit crutons. They should make them a regular cruton for salads but choose (because they have to be made to order) as a side item.

Any other place do fried grits?

Tupelo Honey's has Grit Cakes on their menus which are basically fried grits with different sauces. They are yummy!

not a regular menu item, but i've seen them on occasion at sunny point. i've had them somewhere as a regular item, but can't recall where at this time...
