I would suggest driving to the restaurant, parking the car there and then cabbing it to CH. That way you could get the best of both worlds--without the added stress of finding parking near CH right before the show. If you're planning on taking Metro, note that the closest Metro stations to CH are also in the areas with the restaurants.
