Girl's Night Out - Where to go??

Hi chowhounds,

Some friends and I are looking for a place with good food and atmosphere (lively but not too loud to chat) for a girl's night out.

A bar (or restaurant bar) with tables (vs counter) that's fun but not too crowded would be perfect, preferably one that stays open till at least 11pm.

We live in the Needham/Westwood area but are willing to travel.

Thanks in advance for your experience and recommendations!

  1. Somewhat out that way would be Aquitaine Bis and Met Club across from each other on Rt. 9. People like 51 Lincoln in Newton Highlands but I don't know if that's really a girls nite out scene. Rat Pack in Framingham maybe? Washington Sq. or Beacon St. Tavern if you want to come into Brookline. Many other similar posts if you want to see Boston/Camb. suggestions.

    1. British Beer Co on Rt. 1 Walpole has good food, extensive beer list, lively bar scene & bands on weekends (not til a bit later tho) - also Vegas Lounge is ok - basic bar food but comfortable chairs to hang at

Thanks so much for your suggestions. I've seen the British Beer Co but never tried it. I do like Aquitane Bis but the bar area gets a bit crammed. I'll check out the Boston/Cambridge threads as suggested.

      2. You know, the place that always comes to mind when I read "girls' night out" is Cuchi Cuchi. Fabulous cocktails, fun small plates to share, nice atmosphere, fun, not too fancy, etc. At least if I were a girl and having a night out that would be where I'd head. Alas...

Sounds just the ticket...for girl or guy! Where is it?

Cuchi cuchi really is perfect, really nice cocktails! Call ahead and let them know what you are doing, if you chat them up, they'll hold a nice table for you and in the past thrown in a couple of amuse bouche.

Thanks so much for the tip trotliner! I can't wait to try this place. It sounds great.
