New place in Chico
The old Nile Cafe in Chico has transformed into Annie's Asian Grill. Simple decor, not a lot of flash, but a welcome addition to the local fare. The menu has the usual Japanese-style features - teriyaki combinations, sushi, gyoza, tempura. But there is a section of Korean style grilled items - Gal Bi (shortribs), Bul Go Ki (beef strips) and others. These are well seasoned and well prepared, and lead off by small (not mentioned on the menu) starters - seasoned soy sprouts, sesame spinach, marinated black soy beans, and kim chee.
Plus Sapporo and Asahi long necks. Patio seating available. Relaxed atmosphere, good staffing.

I am not familar with the Nile Cafe, so can you tell me where Annie's Asian Grill is located? It sounds like it could be a great addition to the food scene in Chico.

re: 45chico
We had dinner last evening at Annie's Asian Grill. What a wonderful find!
We share a California Roll, potstickers, my husband had the spicy chicken, which you wrap in lettuce leafs (which was fantastic and spicy), I had the vegetarian sobu noodles, which was a great choice. You can eat inside or outside on the patio. Delicious food and very reasonably priced. Great find. Thank you.
