Les Trois Petits Bouchons & La Montee de Lait

les trois petits bouchons is great - service, atmosphere, food and the wines are mostly importations. The staff will choose for you if you enjoy adventure...it's a smaller place, so make reservations.

I went two times to La Montée de Lait... and meals are not equal. Some are wonderful, and for some others, the mix of tastes is a bit disappointed. Also, we are very (too much?) closed from each others. In that kind of resto, let me propose another one, that tastes are outstanding : LE JOLIFOU, 1840 Beaubien east - www.lejolifou.com

I went to Montee de Lait once on high recommendations from friends, and we had a very mediocre meal. As epicurienne said, some plates were wonderful and others were barely ok. Also, it was extremely slow and perfunctory service-- our meal took over two hours for just two of us! I would not go back; there are too many other great places in Montreal where you can spend that kind of money for excellent food.
