Planning on meeting friends for dinner near the State Fair Grounds. Other than Andy Nelson's (which I love), any suggestions?

Any other criteria? Price range? Type of food? Day of the week?

This coming Friday night. I did not have any particular cuisine or price range in mind.

Agreed that Christopher Daniel is decent. Bluestone is ok -- the appetizers are far better than the entrees, but I have a fondness for the suberb way they handled a service issue that made me loyal to them for good.

The Stil is atrocious foodwise, as is Michael's. Avoid these at all costs. Sushi Hana in Towson is not bad. Oregon Grille is of course quite good but very expensive, and jackets are required for men.

The Stil (Irish Pub: http://www.thestill.net/) is always a fun place to meet friends, but you'll definately need reservations on a Friday night. Its right across from the Fairgrounds - you couldn't get much closer.

Christopher and Daniel is 5 minutes away, more upscale and a place where they understand meat. Best resto w/in 10 minutes is The Oregon Grille, a real top-of-the-line place with consistently excellent food. need reservations at both.
