Looking for a great fresh baguette to go with steamed mussels - any thoughts?

3 years later - I recently discovered the par baked French Baguette at Serfa's. Definitely worth a trip.

Broadway deli, on broadway and 3rd street....they should have baguettes, their rolls are good and just in case the flourless brownie is real good.

The gourmet market across and up the street is Market Gourmet - you were so close on the name! Although the selection of breads is small, it's all great. And they have tons of olive oils, cheeses, and cured meats as well to go with your breads!

Some of the consistantly crusty and tasty bagettes I've had are at French Market Cafe as well...

Don't forget Amandine on Wilshire. They have great breads as well, especially their bagettes. They are about a few blocks east of the Santa Monica/LA city line.

I am addicted to this bread-I always have to buy an extra loaf to eat in the car!

Which bread is it?. I've only ever had their sandwiches and always on the Italian roll.
