So I did a review of 3 spots for their sliders: white castle, sassy sliders, dash dogs...

white castle: what is there to say about WC? they do small burgers that are grilled and then steamed. patties are frozen and thawed on the grill, not much flavor without the ketchup and pickles. price was fair and options where decent: 5

sassy sliders: i liked their sliders, some flavor but still steamed to a degree so it got kinda mushy. the price was absolutely right and they have a fair share of extras(fries in many flavors and torpedo sandwiches): 7

dash dogs: really good, they make the sliders right in front of you and the meat is fresh not frozen. the key is their topping selection, the avocado salsa, cilantro salsa, garlic mayo, just too many combinations . the price was markedly more expensive but not too bad considering what you get: 9

any other suggestions for sliders in NY?

Bouchon Bakery also has sliders on occasion. They were Wagyu beef this past Friday, I think. But they're strictly on a "when we feel like having them on the menu" basis.

Second the recommendation of davidburke@bloomingdales. 3 juicy med. rare burgers on crunchy mini english muffins. Good fries (side order). A bit pricey-about $11 total. top it off with a cheesecake lollipop!

Besides the other suggestions, Le Cirque does some great ones in their cafe with skinny herbed fries, Brasserie 8 1/2 has them in their bar, the new Gold St. does them supposedly with Kobe downtown... I know I am missing some, I will keep keep thinking.

PJ Clark has a 3 mini-slider entree which basically is just the mini version of their burgers - on a good day they are juicy and succulent but sometimes they are pre-cooked and lukewarm and totally unimpressive.

The Little owl has their pork and beef /veal (?) sliders which I like a lot.

The beef and foie gras burgers at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon were so small that they should be sliders and not burgers (or mini-burgers). But they are absolutely delicious!

One should never knock the White Castle. If it weren't for the WC there would be no sliders or no slider craze in Manhattan. Most of the sliders you get in restaurants are overpriced and overdone with ridiculous toppings. On that note, the sliders I have had a PS 450 are very actually very good.

However, WC is the original so please show some respect.
