Barefoot Contessa like in NYC

My friend is a caterer and would love to visit something along the lines The Barefoot Contessa store, which is no longer open. Any suggestions something smaller than Zabars?

Definitely not smaller than Zabar's, but Eli's on 80th & Third has some great things. Love their turkey meatloaf.

Russ & Daughters in the Lower East Side has lovely gourmet foods (smoked fish, caviar, cheeses) and is a true New York delicatessen.
