Looking for a seafood restauant between Phoenix Airport and Chandler.

I am flying into Phoenix airport tomorrow to see my sister. She just moved there and wanted to take her out to a seafood restaurant. Now we have gone to the Fish Market but to tell you the truth, it is so bland and uninteresting. Can anyone give me any recommendations??

Probably too late but I'd whole-heartedly recommend San Diego Bay at Guadalupe and Avenida del Yaqui (exit at Baseline). The seafood there can be wonderful and not bland. Not fancy by any stretch but not a dive. I was just there recently with friends and will have to post a longer write up.

Do both of you like Asian seafood? There are a few choices near LAX (Chinese cultural center) and a few in the Chandler area (also mostly Chinese).

My fave happens to be an $8 buffet, so I'll let others chime in with more sophisticated suggestions should you like Asian!

Mexican/latino places might also be of interest in the non-bland seafood arena - though I'm not too familar with choices along that route.

        Wildfish Seafood Grille

This is about 10 minutes just N and E of the airport.

        Salt Cellar
        550 N Hayden Rd
        Scottsdale, AZ 85257
I've never been myself, but some people swear by it.

I went to the Salt Cellar recently for a business dinner. It's definitely on the way from Sky Harbor to Chandler because it's right by the 202/101 interchange.

It's probably not at the Wildfish level, but certainly good enough if convenience is a high priority.

haven't been there in years but it's also very, very cool in that it's underground. just see a tiny little shack above ground (the entrance to the stairwell down).
