Help! Recs for King City > downtown tonight?

I'm in King City tonight, heading back downtown in a few hours, which means on my way home I'll pass through Maple, Vaughan, Concord, Downsview, and then I guess Allen Road, Eglinton, Avenue.

Generally I stay downtown, so I'm not too familiar with any of those towns/neighbourhoods.

Any suggestions for a great meal along the way? I'm probably not wanting a high-end multi-course extravaganza, nor do I really want a strip mall, fast food or takeout. Would love a slightly-unusual little gem along the lines of The Big Ragu, or even Rosebud, La Palette, Batifole. Cuban, French, Italian, Spanish, Asian, deli, barbecue, bistro, an excellent hamburger.....?

Hogan's Inn used to be quite good, with a decent wine list (haven't been in about five years). Menu looks fairly well represented.

Really! I was thinking about Hogan's, which certainly looks plush & comfortable (I've driven by, looked at the menu). Couldn't tell if it was a tourist/expense-account trap, or good. Thanks for the rec.
