Best Brunch with Outdoor Seating?
I am looking for a place to have brunch with a friend in town from LA. I'd like to take him somewhere we could sit outside. I was thinking Meritage, but last time I had brunch there, I thought it was overpriced and average. Last time I was at John's Place, it was just avergae and overrun with small kids and parents. Does anyone have any ideas? Open to various locations, just want to sit in a cute outdorr area. Thanks!

I haven't been there for a few years, but I always enjoyed the Sunday Brunch at Four Farthings in Lincoln Park. Nothing too fancy, but its on a pleasant intersection of Lincoln and Armitage in Lincoln Park. They have good coffee (Intelligentsia?) and start the meal off with a basket of chocolate and corn muffins (or they used to). A nice relaxed meal if the weather cooperates.
More unique might be Wishbone in the West loop (on Washintong). There are other outposts of this too, but I think the West loop location has the biggest outdoor space. It can get a little overrun with people, but a fun experience. Southern Reconstruction Cooking is how they explain it. See the menus for both on the web site.
