British Pork Pie

Anyone know of any stores in the Toronto area selling traditional British Pork Pies? Some of the British Stores scattered about sell small frozen ones, but I was looking for something a bit fresher.

Stuart Carroll @York Farmer's Market 7509 Yonge St Thornhill carry what I consider the best in the GTA ! I only buy fish products from Fish stores and Meat from Butchers!

I picked up a Melton Mowbray pie at Loblaws about a week ago. It wasn't frozen but it was shrink wrapped. I quite enjoyed it but then I had nothing to compare it to.

Though not downtown, Clarkson Scottish Bakery just west along Lakeshore from Port Credit makes the real deal--HDL Hell but worth the health risk when you gotta have some black pudding or steak and kidney pie.

Try Brick Street Bakery in the Distillery District..They should have exactly what you need. Fresh pies and organic as well.

St Lawrence Farmers Market has a pie guy called British Baked Goods. Tried the steak & kidney. Not bad. Don't know if he has pork pies, but worth a shot. Southwest end of the north market.

Yes, he has Melton Mobray (pork) pies. I think they're $3.00. Haven't tried them yet, though.
