Blaue Gans Recommendations--hold the pork?
I am a big fan of Kurt Gutenbrunner--the chef and Wallse and Cafe Sabarsky. I am going to BG Saturday and looking for suggestions for the non pork items. May seem a waste to go and skip the sausages but I would like to try and still have a great time. Any suggestions on what's next best on the menu? TIA.
Hmmm... maybe lamb? I've had mixed luck with seafood preparations. Bass was good, but perch was pretty bad. My favorite dishes are the wiener schnitzel and pork belly, obviously both pork. For dessert, I love the salzburger nockerl, ice cream sundaes (I forget what they call them), and have also had luck with various other preparations (there was a really pretty chocolate cake on my last visit).
