Breakfast downtown?

Hi-I'm going to be visiting Toronto next week and I'm looking for a fun, relaxing place to have breakfast one day during the week. I enjoy egg dishes. We are staying near Nathan Phillps Square, but plan to be exploring different areas of downtown, so anywhere near there that would be fun to walk around after would be great. Any reccomendations? Thanks!

Eggstasy on Bay, just north of Bloor has good egg dishes. You could walk around Yorkville afterwards.

You could try reading through some older threads like this one for a lot of past recommendations on breakfasts/brunches:

Quite a few of the places mentioned in there are within walking distance of your hotel, including these ones I can think of off the top of my head:

      - The RichTree Market at BCE Place on Yonge St. and Wellington. Concensus seems to be that some people find the self-serve market atmosphere "fun" but the food is overpriced and nothing to get excited over. http://www.richtree.ca

      - Fran's Restaurant on Victoria St. north of Richmond. It's basic diner-type breakfasts, decent food. http://www.fransrestaurant.com

      - Eggspectations in the Eaton Center. I think they only do breakfasts, for some reason the place is always packed. I think it might have more to do with the location than great food, though. http://www.eggspectation.ca

      Enjoy your visit!
