Waffle Fries in Chelsea?

I have a huge craving for crispy, salty, delicious waffle fries. Where can I find them within walking distance of 23rd & 6th?

  1. I haven't seen them at any of the places I frequent in Chelsea, but I know they have them at Waterfront Ale House. It's w/in a long walking distance (29th and 2d).

    1. darn good question. do these even exist in Manhattan? Blondies is the only place i know of that serves waffle fries but they aren't the delicious ones you've described above. i know exactly what you mean, and have been on a quest to find these (anywhere in the city) for several years. The last good waffle fries I've had were in a hole in the wall place in Forest Hills, Queens on Continental Avenue that is long gone.

Used to go to this place in Chelsea on 8th, maybe 9th Avenue. Was called Chelsea Grill. Not sure if it's still there. Low-key bar with beers, great burgers, and awesome waffle fries. Searched for it and found an outpost in Hells Kitchen.

Chelsea Grill in Chelsea closed about half a year ago.

Yeah, the Chelsea Grill on 8th Ave. closed in August '06. Gyro II on 33rd and 7th has them--may have to head up there to satisfy my craving... thanks all

as lucia said, go to waterfront ale house. their waffle fries are delicious.

          3. I had some really good waffle fries once at Wogies. They are hit and miss though- once they were so crispy I was in love...another time they were slightly soggy.

The waffle fries are pretty decent at any of the reaturants that serve the atomic wings menu (Bar Coastal, Down the Hatch, etc.) They call them wafer fries. They are tasty as is, especially if you want them crunchy, but you can get them with toppings such as cheese, chili, jalepenos, gravy, etc.
