La Laiterie

What time would I need to get there by on a Saturday night to avoid a long wait? Also . . . is there anything on the menu you that we shouldn't miss?

To follow up. We had a great meal on Saturday night. We arrived around 5:15 and got two of the last seats available in the whole restaurant. We started with the three cheese sampler. The portions were tiny, but we were blown away by two of the three cheeses. the goat's milk bleu cheese was particularly outstanding. For entrees, we split the mac and cheese, veggie streudel, and the steak. The mac and cheese was our favorite. It was baked perfectly with a nice thick crispy crust of bread crumbs on top. It was very rich and deifnitely not low in calories or cholestoral. The steak was delicious as well, and perfectly cooked medium. It had great flavor. The veggie steudel was okay. The phyllo dough crust was light and flaky and delicious. The filling was good, but not as good as everything else we ate. We ordered too much food. Next time, I'd be perfectly happy with an order of macaroni and cheese and a beer!

I went on a saturday night around 9 and had to wait about 15 minutes. Had a burger and a cheese plate, which I shared. The burger was pretty good a little bit overdone. Be warned that the cheese plate is quite small. I am never one to complain about portions but its a good Idea to either order the 5 cheese selection one instead of the three if your sharing. For me the cheese was almost to small to enjoy it was cut so thin that i didnt get enough of a taste. Oh well.

Try some of their beers too. They have a very good selection at semi-reasonable prices.

I too had an overdone burger at laterie. Must be a trend. Keep that in mind when ordering.

I would go between 5-5:30pm. We recently went for dinner at 5:30, and the restaurant was pretty much full with the exception of one small table for 2 (which we luckily snagged).

I haven't been on a Sat, just weeknights. I LOVE the mac & cheese.
