Cacciatore Trattoria Restaurant

Does anyone know roughly how much starters and mains go for at Cacciatore Trattoria Restaurant at the corner of Laurier Ouest and St. Urbain?

Actually does anyone know if it still exists? I tried calling but the number I have no longer works for the restaurant....

Thanks,
Kevin

There's a Casa Cacciatore in Little Italy but no trattoria of that name on Laurier that I'm aware of. Now that Edouardo Laurier has closed, Alloro, La Forchetta and Spaghettata are the only Italian restos on that strip, though some would add Jun-I to the list.

        What's (who's?) Bruno?

(I need to get out more...)

It's a newish place on the SE corner of Laurier W. and L'Esplanade. I was wondering if anyone had checked the place out.

You had me scared for a minute there, SnackHappy.

Alloro is on the SE corner of Laurier and Esplanade, 160 Laurier West to be precise.

Bruno Bistro is at 108 Laurier West, which appears to be on or near the SW corner of Laurier West and St-Urbain (where the French furniture shop used to be?). Phone number is 514 277-8777 and cooking is said to be mid-priced French bistro. Has been around since November of last year, so odd that it hasn't got more mention on the various food boards and in the media.

edit: I wonder what the owners of Boris Bistro think about its name?

Sorry about that, carswell. I got my restaurants all confused. I should always double check before I post.

              Sorry again.

Bruno Bistro was just reviewed by Lesley Chesterman in last Saturday's Montreal Gazette. 2 stars out of 4(main negative several of her dishes were marred as it was just too greasy). I see that Sarah Musgrave last Saturday in the paper, reviewed Viva Laurier at 110 Laurier Ave W(right next door to Bruno Bistro?). Don't know if it's a coincidence or not.

At that address, there was an italian restaurant for a long time, after that, for a short while, a fish restaurant that opened about the same time as Raza but did not last long, and then was replaced by this "Bruno".

Judging by the title of this thread, & Max response, I think I remember the Italian restaurant(ate there years ago, maybe around 6-7 years ago). It was a pretty small establishment. Can't remember what I ordered. I have their business card at home somewhere.

OK I just checked it was a restaurant at 108 Laurier West that had the name Trattoria Del Cacciatore.

Hey BLM, that's the one. It was (?) a great restaurant but I guess it's now closed. Looks like I'll have to go to a plan B.

              Thanks all.
