Vic's is defiantely one of the very best, if not the best pie in Monmouth County), ranking up there with Carmen's (Pete and Elda's place) in Neptune City, The Brothers in Red Bank, Tony's, Nunzio's and Freddie's in Long Branch and Frederici's in Freehold Borough.

The article was good and gave some nice historical facts. As for the "secret recipe"? Did someone say chicken fat?

Herm.....if I knew I would be making some great pies at home. All kiddin' aside, that is the rumor from an "inside" source. I dunno exactly how and where it would be used....maybe someone here has some ideas. In place of olive oil?
