ANyone know what happened to Medicine Eatstation?
So the website says both "Were currently undergoing renovations" and "NOW OPEN." I just called them and some gruff voice informed me that I did not reach Medicine. What's the scoop?

You must have dialed the wrong number. They've reopened for lunch weekdays.

I dialed the number on the website... weird.

They are open for lunch only. Their seating area is around 1/4 of the original space as they remodel the rest, so their lunch service is primarily a take-out operation. The menu includes noodle soups, bento boxes, and rice bowls. The selection is nice and now includes seafood.
Last week I tried the tofu dengaku bento. The sweet miso sauce, sitting on the tofu at room temperature, was a little gloppy, though the rice was nice (always a strength at Medicine) and I liked the other dishes, which included broccoli rabe with sesame dressing, pickled vegetables, and mochi. I think I prefer the bento at Delica in the Ferry Building, though it's a close call.
I miss their jade nuggets (tempura shiso-wrapped natto) and their eggplant dengaku.

Just went a few days ago for lunch. Though the wild mushroom ramen I had with the sweet soy whitefish was tasty, the ramen was just way too salty. Continue to love the asthetic and the fresh veggies though.
But overall, Delica in the Ferry Building is much better. (The potato croquettes there are truly delicious.)

I went there with my mum last week and we thought it was pretty good. I had the 9-grain soboro tofu rice bowl and she had the wild mushroom ramen with tempura prawns. We also shared a wakame kimpira salad and some genmaicha (brown rice tea). You can see the food we ordered in the attached photos.
My tofu rice bowl consisted of crumbled pieces of tofu over 9-grain rice, topped with other veggies like pickled ginger, shredded nori, sugar snap peas, cabbage flavored with sesame oil, and carrots. It didn't look very appetizing but tasted great - the tofu was succulent and had a sponge-like texture, with a pleasant ginger-soy flavor.
My mum seemed to enjoy her mushroom ramen too, but the tempura prawns were somewhat disappointing since the tempura batter was a bit thick and not very crispy. I liked the complement of lemon juice and salt though: it really accentuated the flavor of the prawns.
The wakame kimpira salad, a mixture of wakame seaweed and julienned burdock and carrots, was very fresh. It was not oily at all and we loved the crunch of the salad.
Overall, I would say we enjoyed the experience there. It is not exactly cheap; our meal was slightly more than $30. The new setup was a bit confusing though: there's a refrigerator by the entrance with prepackaged salads and bento boxes for take-out, but if you want to eat-in, you have to order at the cashier and they will make your orders fresh and bring the food to you. We weren't sure whether we're supposed to get our own utensils and napkins or not, and I took some. Turned out that they do bring them with the food.
I like both Delica and Medicine Eatstation, but I guess I can't exactly compare the two since they serve slightly different foods.

It is slightly confusing, agreed. And it's certainly no cheap meal. A bit pricey. Seems like you're paying more for the experience.
