ooops! sorry about that overanxious on the return key.

i seem to remember hearing about a small convenience store that started serving italian meals in the back of the place. nothing fancy and very limited menu.

it caught on and this became a regular thing with a huge following.

does this sound familiar to anyone or did i dream this?

You're thinking of Vinny's at Night.

Wow that was fast! Thank you both.
Have either of you (or anyone else) tried it?

The link above was the report of our dinner from March. The photo link on that thread has some pics if you scroll through. There were eight of us, we had a great time. My faves were the sausage and broccoli rabe with the mafalde, veal piccata, and the eggplant parm. Be sure to spend the extra $1.00 for the homemade pastas.

Food at Vinny's at Night was good and reasonably priced. I'm sorry I didn't have the Antipasto Bar. Still, Little Vinny's in Somerville has better atmosphere and food.

          I agree that Li'l Vinny's is better all-around.

I think Lil Vinny's atmosphere is nicer, but I prefer the food at Vinny's at Night.
