My only suggestion is not to go to the place on Baldwin Ave by Taipan Bakery between Duarte and Huntington next to some real estate company. That place is pretty bad.

Are you talking about President Thai? That place is rather mediocre. There aren't too many Thai places around Arcadia/Monrovia. Thai City is located on Huntington near the 210/605 interchange, but I haven't had enough dishes there to form a strong opinion.

I used to like BASIL on Huntington quite a bit, but have not been there for several years. Does anyone know the place, is it the same owners?

so i did decide to go to Basil and it was wonderful. Super actually. Owners are still there both commented how they have been there for 17 years. Food was Fresh and served in perfect portions, I cant stand heaping portions. We had started with the Beef Satay ( which was perfecttly medium/well done) continued with red curry shrimp (curry sauce was also perfectly balanced) and we finished with the basil meat/seafood flat noodles.
I will be coming back every week. THANK YOU FOR THE TIP RATS!

There's a new Thai place on Myrtle Ave. in Old Town Monrovia. I have been there a couple of times and I love it. The place is georgous and the food is just great. The Grilled Salmon lunch special comes with panang sauce is my favorite. Must try!
