Need Ideas for a Post-Wedding East Bay Brunch

I need some ideas on where to have a post-wedding brunch in the Berkeley/Oakland/Emeryville area (that geography can be extended a little north and east if needed). It would be on a Monday (so I know some places will be closed), and I'm guessing there would be 20 or so guests. Please help!

  1. Eccolo opens at 11:30am on Mondays for lunch. For that size group you might check to see if they'd open a little earlier and offer a fixed price brunch menu with selected options. The sun room is lovely, the alcove on the side feels like a closet.

I'll second Melanie's rec, Eccolo serves the classiest and tastiest brunch in the East Bay.

    2. If you don't mind casual and an open space, Fat Apples in El Cerrito on Central should be able to seat you if you call ahead. They are easy to get to on Central and Colusa. Not far from Solano Avenue.

If they are open on Monday and if they cans eat you in the patio then La Note would be nice.

Rick and Anne's probably couldn't handle 20... but perhaps on their patio? They are near Claremont and Ashby right across from the back entrance to the Claremont Hotel.

I wonder if Saul's in North Berkeley on Shattuck is openon Mondays. They have a great Jewish deli and breakfast menu. For 20, again, you'd need to call ahead and ask.

Any of these places might have ideas for where you could go if they could not accommodate you at their place.

      1. Bucci's is another possibility. They can definitely handle 20.

        1. Thanks so much for all the great suggestions. Keep sending more if you have any. I'm definitely looking into all of these.
