Glendale - Sushi help needed

I'll be going to Glendale on business, right across the street from Glendale Adventist on Chevy Chase Drive.

What are some good sushi places nearby for lunch? I'd love to hear all the recommendations, both fancy or not.

Is Sushi on Brand still there? I never ate there, but remember someone who did saying it was fantastic. I used to go to Aoba on Brand, it was pretty good but not great.

sushi on brand is still fine for lunch. aoba [and huge, fullofitself menu] is also still around. pretty good sushi is available at ichiban, at the marketplace alley off brand, and there is a half-price place, octopus, on maryland. sorry for the late reply.

Sushi on Brand is still there - not great though and I'm not sure if it's open for lunch. Unfortunately there aren't too many options in Glendale for sushi. There's a relatively new place up the 2FWY in Montrose called Blue Fish that's good for the area.

Hmmm, we all loved it about 5 years ago. Wonder if it has gone downhill? There was a place at the end of the little mall where the movie theatre and frog water fountain is (off Brand south of Broadway) that some people liked... I preferred Sushi on Brand.

Blue Fish up in Montrose is pretty good but they just got a B rating. There is also a place called Manster Sushi a little bit further down on Honolulu from Blue Fish.

In addition to those 2 Sushi joints a new place called Sushi Plus might be open (also on Honolulu). Drove by the other day and it looked close.

Not bad. Decent prices for relatively good quality.

We just had lunch at Blue Fish today and they had an A rating. Sushi was, as always, fresh and generously served. The special today, Herring w/ roe was a beautiful treat. No a sushi I have had before but I am looking forward to trying it again.

I was going to say Sushi on Brand. It was my favorite when I worked in Glendale. Unfortunately, I, too, question whether or not it is still there.
