Low-Key Catering/Takeout in Eugene
My husband and I are traveling to Eugene, OR from Baltimore to have our son baptized (yes, it’s sort of a “destination baptism”). We will be staying at my aunt and uncle’s and would like to serve lunch for about 12 people at their house after the baptism, but don't want to have to cook. My aunt and uncle recently moved to Eugene, so they don't really know a lot of restaurants there.
Does anyone have recommendations on a restaurant (or store) that caters or would be easy to take out from? We need something fairly basic to cover a range of eating preferences - I'm a vegetarian, others don't really like vegetables. We also don’t want anything fancy or really expensive. I was thinking traditional American, Italian or brunch would be great – even a nice café with good salads or sandwiches would do. I’d appreciate any recommendations.

Hi,
A price range would be helpful but there's a number of places you might call/try:
- Marche, which is one of the best restaurants in town has a nice new take-out/deli in 5th street market.
- Cornicopia does good basics veg and meat and offers catering service
- Market of Choice, the main up-scale grocery store in town has a pretty nice deli, prepared food (think Whole Foods), the biggest store is on Willamette.
Hope that helps.
