Looking for some small authentic spots in Manhattan with either a variety of ethnic foods or from a single culture. Spicy and Authentic. Need not be fancy, just real.

Thanks,

Marc

For a spicy main course at Taksim, try the Adana kebabs. Not sure what else there would qualify ... The lentil balls are not spicy, but make for a good appetizer.

With a quick pass of their hot sauce, everything is spicy.

Pam Real Thai on 49th and 9th ave makes things very spicy if you give them a little encouragement. Specifically, they have some fried catfish dish which is really hot.
