looking for favorite sausage places

Hello! So, I have the day off tomorrow and am going to be doing a good deal of cooking since this weather = day in the kitchen... just got some rabe and i want to make a nice light rabe, sausage and pasta dish for dinner. and though i could just swing by Shaws and grab some sausage, i wondered if anyone has a favorite place to get unique and exciting varieties of sauasge.
thanks :)

The homemade sausages from Nappi's in Medford have always been excellent but I haven't been there for a while. It's a small place that also sells Italian groceries.

Barbara Lynch sells awesome sausages at The Butcher Shop, on Tremont in the South End. My favorite is the garlic-lamb sausage, but the jaegerwurst is nice, as well.

In Roslindale Square, try Tony's Market on Washington St. Old fashioned Italian butcher that makes his own sausages. Very good.

I just picked up thirty on Sat for a party 15 hot and 15 sweet at depasquale's and they were great. I also agree with Tony's in rozzie square great meats across the board.

I agree with Dom's being an excellent choice for Sausages. I love the hot style. Try the Oriental style too, they taste like boneless Chinese Spareribs. My mouth is watering thinking about them. However, I found their Cheese and Garlic flavor to be salty.

          j. pace in the north end has great variety of house-made sausage, and for regular varieties i usually go to the salumeria on salem st.

although today probably isn't the greatest day to drive into town.

You never mentioned where you live, Karl's sausage kitchen on rt 1 in saugus has quite a variety. Tony's market in Roslindale square as well as Todesca's are mostly Italian hot and sweet as are D'erricos in Worcester.

IMO Karl's sausages are fantastic EXCEPT for the Italian sausage. They use a lot of thyme if I recall and it doesn't taste like true "Italian" sausage. I second Dom's sausage; especially the hot or fennel, it is very meaty and low in fat in comparison to others. I usually buy a box and separate them, freeze and use when needed for sauce or whatever. New England Meatmarket has decent sausage too, fattier than Dom's though.

Karl's Sausage Kitchen on Rte 1 in Saugus has great sausage. I think they may be closed on Monday's though.

Great meat market, italian goods, and sausage here: DePasquale's Sausage: 325 Watertown St in Newton (you can also get it at Russo's but only the hot and sweet).

The garlic and cheese is supposedly the best, other flavors include tomato/basil, chinese, hot, sweet, and some seasonal flavors too.

Doms in Malden is good. It is on Commercial street, a block or so from the Piantedosi wholesale warehouse. They do have in store made sausages in Pace's in Saugus. I was not too impressed with the Pace sausages ( though I love their beef and lamb), but other hounds may feel differently.

As a longtime fan of Pace's sausages, I do have to give a slight edge to Dom's.

I've only tried Pace sausages once- tried the hot italian, sweet italian and the garlic. For the premium price, I was not really too impressed. But- I did buy them in december, and may try them again when I can grill them up.
