Need copper cookware re-tinned-- recommendations ?

Greyhoundgrrl Apr 15, 2007 03:18 PM

I have two lovely 1950s-era French copper pans that need to be re-tinned. Can anyone recommend a craftsperson who performs such a service? I am in Pittsburgh but am willing to ship anywhere in the USA.

I used them (Atlantic) once. They did a good job but took an incredibly long time to get it done. They promised six weeks, which seems like plenty of time, but took closer to 10 weeks (not counting shipping time). I called repeatedly and they just kept promising to finish the job in a day or two. Never again. I use Rocky Mountain Retinning now. www.rockymountainretinning.com
