I'll be in Melbourne in 2-weeks. Any suggestions on where to get mangosteen, if I can?

Thanks!

Mangosteens are harvested twice a year, in Freb and Oct.. so you may be out of luck. You could try a wander around Queen Victoria markets, to see if there are any late harvest ones available.. and depending where you;'re staying, you could check out the Asian grocers in Richmond/Box Hill/Springvale (and have a little pho while you're there!)

    good luck!

Thanks, Purple Goddess. I didn't know they were only harvested twice a year but now it makes sense. I had my first mangosteen in Thailand in Feb. The problem is now I'm hooked!

        NAtalie...

Just got back from mu asian grocer and they had a big box of mangostees right there. for $12.00 a kg.

I suggest you have a look around the markets when you get here.. but they are definitely still available down in Springvale.

          Purple Goddess,

As you suggested, I found mangosteens at the Queen Victoria Market. Great place, btw. Thanks again.
