Menu for Tia Pol back room?

Has anyone had an event in the back room at Tia Pol? Was the food very different from what you get in the regular restaurant - i.e. do they have a set menu, or do you order off the regular menu? Also, did you think the food was worth it for a large party (I'm planning something for around 20)?

My GF had her birthday party - 12 seated - there recently and it was great. The food is exactly the same as in the front, but instead of a la carte we designed a menu based on food costs per head, which worked out well. As a matter of fact I think there may be no a la carte in the back room, but it suited us just fine. We did the same with the wine, just to have some control over budget etc. Good luck.

Is it comfortable? Are you seated on chairs with backs? Is it a place you can stay for awhile?

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. In case it's still releveant, we sat on long benches - no backs, with a couple of chairs at the ends of the table. If I were you I would just scout it out and see if it works for your needs. As far as time I think their time-frame is in the 2 - 2 1/2 hr range, but we made a deal for a little bit longer. Either way, no one rushed us out. It was a lot of fun. Hope this helps.

I didn't realize they had a back room. The back part of the restaurant serves the same food as the front. Did they open up another space?
