BYOB in vicinity of Citizens Bank Park

My husband and I just got last minute tickets to the Phillies game this afternoon. Are there any reasonably priced byos in the vicinity? We can also drive if there is something better outside of that immediate location. I know it may be difficult to get reservations now, but I'll try. Thanks for any help!

We wound up going to Pesto. It was fantastic! Will definitely go back. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. Be prepared to take some home... although we ordered too much food probably. Thanks for the wonderful rec!

Nice. I've heard good things about this place but haven't been yet. I'll put in on the list. What did you get?

We got the calamari ($8) and the braciole ($10) (sp?) special for apps. There was a lot of calamari and my only complaint was that it seemed like of some of the pieces had something hard in them... maybe the cartilage? The braciole were five small pieces stufffed with mozzarella and grilled. For entrees I had another special which was a giant portion of homemade cavatelli with shrimp, crab, and lobster for $20. I couldn't finish it so I brought it home. It was delicious!! My husband had the veal mare e monti for $21. It was veal medallions with shrimp, mozzarella, and proscuitto in a mushroom demiglasse... tasted kind of like marsala. So good!! Then we had two desserts (we usually split one, but these two are their most popular)... the limoncello sorbet (unbelievable) and the ricotta cheesecake which is the owner's mom's recipe (it was very good) each were $5.50. Then we had a couple of espressos. You can see their menu online, but they have specials that are longer than the menu. Definitely a lot of food and we'll definitely make it one of our regular spots.

Thanks for the recs. We really did want to do byob, so Criniti's is out. I got a res at Pesto and can't wait! Will report back.

I'm not sure if it's BYO or not, but I would recommend Criniti's. It's less than a mile from the stadium and they make great italian food at very reasonable prices(Entrees were in the 12-18 range if I recall correctly). It's a pretty casual atmosphere, service is very good and if you go reasonably early on a weekend you'll be in and out quickly. It's address is 2601 South Broad Street. Good luck.

Crinit's is no longer BYO, and won't require a reservation. If you are set on BYO, give L'Angolo or Pesto a call and see if you can get a last-minute reservation.

BTW... since we will be coming from the Phillies game what is the dress code at Pesto? Casual? Dressy? Thanks!
