Williamsburg with kids and
Hi Does anyone have a suggestion for an 8 year old Down Under chowhound kid and her chowhound parents. I am treating them to lunch/brunch tomoroow on a Saturday and they would like to go to Williamsburg.
I live over the river so not my turf.
Not the tourist type - the parents used to live here.
My kid who is 5 wants to come and can't take spice.
North or South part of Williamsburg is fine.
Or should I just make them go to Juniors
THANKS

Thanks for these
as it was I posted so close to the time, but Fornino wa son my friends list. We ended up with Surf on the northside - which the kids loved because of the sand on the enclosed deck. They had very kid friendly food for brunch and the parrents had many a bowl of clam chowder. We had several types and shared. Kids also loved the little real sharks in the fish tanks.
But these other ideas I will use for my own child next time - worth the walk over the bridge from here on LES.

There are a number of fun places to go in Williamsburg - brunch or dinner at Wombat on Grand Street is really good - and they have a great twist on Down Under fare. Roebling Tea Room on Roebling and Metropolitan has excellent food - I LOVE their Mac n' Cheese. Also, Dumont right on Union is a good place as well.
