Sports bars w/ decent food & NHL package

Hi,

I'm trying to find sports bars in NYC that have decent bar food and will playoff games other than the Rangers, Islanders and Devils. Ideally I'm looking for places showing the Penguins or Red Wings. At best, the bar would carry the NHL channel/package.

It's a long shot, but I am hopeful.

croxley's ale house at 28 avenue B by 2nd street has the nhl package, 10+ t.v.s, is hockey friendly, has fairly ok beers and ok pub food. someone needs to create a database of nyc bars that have the nhl package!

Blondie's on the UWS is pretty good; wings are good, rest of the bar food is fine, and its a Pitts bar (at least for football) so they should have the Penguins game on.

As long as there's not a Rangers home game, try Stout on 33rd just east of 7th. It's big enough that you should be able to get a screen near where you're sitting.

I think Houston's is great...they make a damn good burger.
