Casual Georgetown Dinner - Sat night

Cocinero Cubano Apr 13, 2007 05:40 AM

My wife and I are looking to spend the evening in Georgetown tomorrow, window shopping and having a nice, but casual dinner in the early evening. Is there anything new down there worth checking out? Or, any old faves that might not come straight to mind?

I thought:

Old Glory

Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you all beer drinkers? Bierria Paradiso is a favorite of many.

I prefer liquor, but will drink beer if it's near. The wife's a bit of tee-totaler, though. Thanks for the recommendation.

Paradiso is indeed a good place. I second the motion.

Mendocino is casual and very good. So is the lounge at Citronelle; world class food, casual, moderate prices. Zed's is ok but not great Ethiopian; Le Chaumiere is very good if you want French country food; isn't Old Glory a chain [I have never eaten there]?

Dakota Guy's recommendations are all worthy of note!

How about Bistro Francais. They have really yummy food and a laid back vibe.
