How is the Food at Bistro on the Avenue??

A landmark restaurant in Westmount for over 15 years how is the food and service???

It used to be really good but lately it just feels a bit tired - the food isn't bad, it's just not great. I would almost prefer to go to the Taverne on the Square if I was in the neighborhood - the ambiance is a bit more up beat.

Good and OK. I've never had a crappy meal there in the 7-8 times I've been. Service can be a little rushed and inattentive when they're busy.
