Ethiopian restaurant
Does anyone around here love Ethiopian food as much as I do? Let me know where you find it!

I would eat it all the time if I could, but I moved to the wrong neighborhood--all the Ethiopian food is on the other side of town in West Philly. :(
Abyssinia, at 45th and Locust, is excellent. I've tried Dahlak on Baltimore Ave., but wasn't as impressed. E.R.A. in Fairmount was very good, but I heard that they don't serve food anymore.

re: acewex
E.R.A. bar is at Poplar and 27th, or thereabouts (about a block away from Northstar Bar). There was a young woman there who served food in a small, very no-frills dining room in the back. It was a wonderful, personal experience, and she was really happy when we ordered coffee post-meal. She treated us to an Ethiopian coffee ceremony, which she set up on the floor and roasted the beans tableside. I wished we'd had the opportunity to go more often.

Try Dahlak...they have restaurants in West Philly and Germantown.
