FYI: 3 Square Cafe now open for Dinner

venicekeith Apr 12, 2007 04:20 PM

Was walking the dog along AK last night and noticed the place open for dinner. Menu looks good, from my memeory, apps appear to be in the $5-12, while mains look like $15-20. Noticed the Crab souffle from the former restaurant, also Spaetzle with morels (I had that asw a special at lunch a few weeks ago), white asparagus appeared in both the app and main parts of the menu as well. There was a pretzel burger as a well as a variant of the 3 sandwich sampler from lunch - this time a 3 burger sampler: beef, salmon, and mushroom. Not sure of the hours, nor info on a website. See previous posts for address and other contact info. Happy chowing folks.

3 Square website is at http://www.rockenwagner.com/cafe.html

No details or menu for dinner there yet, but presumably it will show up eventually.

We went this past week. The menu is small, but varied. We had the Golash (which was okay), the Spetzel, which was very rich. The white asparagus was just perfect though, and the Chicken with pot pie. It was okay... We also shared the green apple sorbet. Three glasses of wine, tax and nice tip, it was $100. Not bad, but a bit more than we planned to spend on a causual night out.
