Need a "nice" midtown bar for early drinks w/ Parents

We are meeting before dinner for drinks in Midtown on Saturday and need a nice place to go for drinks. Friends parents like upscale kinda places - any suggestions?

    You might also want to check out the Ava Lounge, which is on the roof of the Dream Hotel. Quite snazzy.

        We'll be in the theater district. LFeinberg gave top notch bars....we just need a nice one. Thanks!

          Oh honey, all of them are nice! Of the ones I gave you, all but Feinstein's is relatively close to the theatre district...a cab ride from each won't be longer than 5 minutes long. Enjoy!

            Tracey123, If you prefer to stay in the Theater District, there's the Blue Bar in the famous Algonquin Hotel.

            Pen Top Bar is great but it can get very crowded. Same with Bull & Bear. How about the Lobby Bar or the Blue Bar at the Algonquin Hotel?
