Any opinions about Trader Joe's whole bean coffees.? Do you like any, hate any?

I like the Bay blend, and also the "Smooth and Mellow" blend...

Our "House Blend" is half French Roast Decaf and half Double Dark. We've been drinking that mix for about 5 years now.

I like the "Smooth and Mellow" as well as most of their other coffee that isn't dark roast. My parents love their Kenya AA but they've stopped carrying it at our local TJ's.

I just bought the smooth and mellow blend. Do you the best ratio of beans to water. I cannot seem to get it. No matter what I do it comes out too weak or too strong.

I'm a decaf drinker...hard to find decent decaf. I regularly buy the decaf Italian Roast and the decaf French Roast and enjoy them both.

I've liked / loved most that I've tried with exception of their wonderfully-priced but unfortunately-crummy "Joe" coffee. Bay Blend, French Roast, Sumatra, Indonesian(?) Peaberry. I tend to opt for Darker roasts so I don't know much about the milder ones.

Most of the good coffees are north of $9.00/lb so they are reasonable but not a huge bargain.

I think the smooth and mellow decaf is pretty good; I drink it straight or use it to cut caffeinated coffee. Decent neutral morning cup.

The Ethiopian is my favorite TJ coffee.
