Dining Alone, but don't want crazy receipts

Like another poster, I am also in NO for business, but money is an option. It's not like I need to stick to Subway, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, either. Someplace with a nice menu and where I won't feel awkward ordering at the bar while reading the paper. I'm staying at a hotel in the warehouse district. I'd like to be able to walk there. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Rio Mar has very affordable Tapas On South Peters. Around the corner is a sushi restaurant Rockin Saki.Cochon has a wide variety at not too expensive dishes near there on Andrew Higgins I think. Tommy,s down the street from Emeril's is reasonable, but I don't think you can eat at the bar. Hip Stix is nearby, but I haven't been yet. Sun Ray Grill is affordable too. All these are in the warehouse district
