Any opinion on Mint in NYC

I am planning to host a party at Mint but have not eaten here. What do people think about the fod and service here.

I've been to Mint once on date and thought the food was really good and flavorful and the service was very attentive--maybe too much so--these days whenever I go to a restaurant in Manhattan as soon as I've taken the last sip of my drink the waiter appears an tries to get me to order another. Also I think they were a bit pushy about ordering appetizers and stuff--but I find this everywhere these days. The room is beautiful --nicer than any Indian place I've been to. (I'm not sure about the prices since I was on a date and didnt pay the bill..)

I don't think it is so great for the price. The service was bad, but the decor was really nice. For me the dishes were lacking in flavor. I would not return

I enjoyed the food and didn't find it to be at all lacking in flavor. I've been twice and would say that both times the service was above average. In fact, the last time I was there our server was very accomodating and even brought us out a free dessert. And the cocktail menu is creative and fun on top of that.

I've been there several times for lunch, and once for dinner. I think that the food and service are both above average. It is a nice room for a party. Really liked the way the menu was put together.

I have only ever gotten delivery (via Seamless Web), but it's always quite good food, so I would guess that the food's even better when eaten at the restaurant.

I know that my friend recommended it to me when I was in search of good upscale Indian (ended up at Devi). I don't have any details on it but I know she had positive things to say. I'll check in with her if I can and re-post.
