Any suggestions where they make the best short ribs in the Philly area??

  1. I recently had a big plate of them at Funky 'lil Kitchen in Pottstown and they were wonderfully tender and delicious. Maybe not as good as the ones I had a few years back at Che Panisse, but pretty darn close.

    1. The Pond in Radnor braises them to dense, savory richness.

      1. Interesting question Layla529, I'm curious to see the responses. I LOVE short ribs, I've had them maybe 6-8 times in restaurants. I can tell you I loved every one, but no matter how different the menu description, all of them have tasted alike. I may be off here, but I haven't detected much variability. Oh, but if I had to give you a best, I loved Matyson's version, but that was a couple years ago.

They've always been a specialty of Jake's in Manayunk, but I have never tried them there.

        2. Had really good ones a couple of weeks ago at Society Hill Hotel, but they may have been a special. Call first

          1. they have nice ones at Black Lab Bistro in Phoenixville

If you like short ribs, try the short rib flat breads at both amada and audrey claire. they are incredible.

            2. I had short-rib ravioli at Ava. They were so good. They were a special, so I am not sure if they still have them, but if they do, by all means get them.

I just agree, the short ribs at Jake's are to die for!
