Where should we take Mother-in-law for dinner?

  • 3

Hi,

My mother in law is visiting from Ireland, she loves food but nothing spicy or too exotic. We have been to Gramercy Tavern and Gotham Grill. We would like to go somewhere new but not as expensive as the Gramercy Tavern but with great food. She loves simple great food and comfortable spaces. Any recommendations? Thanks!

  1. May be Freeman or Cookshop? Less expensive than GT but food are flavorful in comfortable space.

    1. How about the Blue Ribbon Bakery or Ouest? If it's not too "exotic," she might like arepas. (Flor's Kitchen in the West Village is a cozy enough space and has pretty good arepas.)

The Red Cat...always good...always accomodating..not new, but never disappoints.
