Emeril's degustation menu?
Have anyone tried it lately? How was it? Last I heard was that the price jumped to $120 per person not including wine, is that true?
haven't tried the d menu...was at Emeril's for a business dinner recently and the service was abominable (rushed service, 10 guests crammed into an 8 top, missing courses) food was OK but there is no way I'd part with a buckfifty to eat here...maybe that's why there's not a big response to this one...do you already have reservations?
Firstly, the degustation menu is generally in the $65 to $75 range per person, wines are paired nightly, according to each course and generally WITH the wine pairing, the price can be around $120..the degustation at Emeril's is a popular way to dine and changes are made daily to make way for the freshest and most wonderful ingredients available--many of them local. Chef de cuisine, Chris Lynch has abundant energy and many wonderful ideas as far as the degustation menu, however the a la carte menu is also an option in that many of the original items from Emeril's opening day still appear. Chef Chris Lynch is definitely ambitious, as is the courteous and professional staff at Emeril's.
