Fresh Beef, chicken, pork or chicken eggs nearest to Joliet?
Hi all (Happy Easter!)
I live in Joliet and I was wondering if there are any places near by (within 20 miles or so) to buy fresh Beef, Pork, Chicken or fresh chicken eggs. I used to be able to get chicken eggs so fresh they were still warm! Boy what a treat. I've also had occasions when I happened across someone willing to share some of their fresh 1/2 cow or pig too.
But I haven't got any idea where I could go anymore for these items. Anyone have some ideas?

I am in Joliet too and am looking for fresh eggs and grass fed beef, chicken and eggs. if you find it or have found where to get any of these, please let me know. I love fresh from the chicken eggs...they are the best. And the grass fed beef and poultry is the best and better for you. You can get the grass fed beef and chicken at For the Good of It on Jefferson St but it is so darn expensive. You can also go to eatwild.com to find alot of things and places to go in different areas.

There is a buying club in Hammond, IN (about 30 miles from Joliet) that receives deliveries for grass-fed beef and some of the other items you mentioned. Buying club details can be found @ http://www.sevensons.net
