Go Fish Bar & Grill Princeton Iowa

Anybody familiar with this place. There is a band playing there next weekend and was wondering what the atmosphere is like, if it's a dive or upscale or what. Any info would be appreciated.

  1. Sorry, nope. But do report back! I'm very intrigued.

    1. I went there last week, Oct 6, 2007. Well, all I can say is I hope you like concrete and cinderblocks. The whole place, bar top included is made of concrete. Everything is kept on ice, No refrigerators, no fountain pop, it comes out of a can that has been sitting, and sitting there. No draft beer. Mixed drinks are flat and well, the place is made of freaking concrete. Bad place for bands. As for the food, I have no Idea where they are hiding the kitchen, because the place is pretty small and I never saw a grill or even a hotplate. I give it -3 stars.

      1. Went there last night. Beautiful warm summer like evening. Not many people as it was a Wednesday. You have to appreciate the location. It is right on the Mississppi River. Yes, made out of lots of concrete, but the building is supposed to remind you of the kind of structures on an ocean coast. I don't think even a midwest tornado could damage this place. I like the rustic tin roof ceiling and boat motors hanging on the two by fours. Great place to hang out on the large patio, on a calm moonlit night. Really feels like Key West when the tiki torches and tiki bar is open. Last writer is correct in that it is not a good place for a band, or dancing. I enjoyed some breaded mushrooms last time I was out for a cruise. Depends on your state of mind. Know what I mean?

        1. It's a great little bar with a fantastic view of the Mississippi River. The food is good as bar food goes. Drinks are reasonable. It's not a dive, but it's not upscale either. Just a nice bar in a really neat river town in the midwest.
